10 Cool Green Cars of the Future

Automakers worldwide have gotten the message for far greater fuel-efficiency from consumers, who have shifted away from gas-guzzling cars and trucks, and governments jacking up standards for lower emissions and higher miles per gallon. A bevy of new "green" and "cool" cars unveiled at the recent 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Here's a look at 10 "cool" and "green" cars:
- Audi e-tron: Runs on battery power, Dynamite styling.
- BMW Concept ActiveE: Runs on battery power, Built to drive like a BMW.
- BYD e6: Runs on battery power, Novelty; could be first Chinese car for sale in the U.S.
- Chevrolet Volt: Plug-in hybrid, Remote-control, OnStar Mobile Application.
- Fiat 500 BEV: Runs on battery power, Retro styling, tiny size.
- Ford Focus: High mileage, estimated 40 mpg, European styling, electronic features.
- Hyundai Blue-Will Concept: Plug-in hybrid, Far-out styling, extra "green" features like solar panels.
- Honda CR-Z: Hybrid, Sporty styling.
- Toyota FT-CH Concept: Hybrid, Mildly retro, boxy styling.
- Volkswagen New Compact Coupe Concept: Hybrid, Sporty performance, Euro styling.
